Several people in the village are involved with the annual National Butterfly Survey and record sightings across a series of established habitats around the village. Surveys are done on a weekly basis throughout the Spring, Summer and Autumn.

Toller Porcorum Home Watch
The Home Watch meets from time to time to consider local crime issues and to accept the annual statistical police report. It serves as a link between the community and the police and receives regular bulletins on local crime matters, which are then circulated via the internet to interested residents.

Meetings begin with a half an hour of 'business' followed by an educational talk by a guest speaker on various topics.
Tea/Coffee and a chat follow with the monthly competition, the raffle and 'Bring and Buy' stall.
There are groups for Badminton, Rambles and Skittles and lunch outings every other month. Recent National WI Campaigns have included 'Save our Bees', Fair milk prices for Farmers, Environmental concerns and Recruitment of more Midwives.
New members are always welcome.
