Butterfly Conservation

Several people in the village are involved with the annual National Butterfly Survey and record sightings across a series of established habitats around the village. Surveys are done on a weekly basis throughout the Spring, Summer and Autumn.

Meetings begin with a half an hour of 'business' followed by an educational talk by a guest speaker on various topics.

Tea/Coffee and a chat follow with the monthly competition,  the raffle and 'Bring and Buy' stall.  

There are groups for Badminton, Rambles and Skittles and lunch outings every other month.  Recent National WI Campaigns have included 'Save our Bees',  Fair milk prices for Farmers, Environmental concerns and Recruitment of more Midwives.

New members are always welcome.
